Regolith is a material in which the presence of ash is very visible. It has a specific texture, both porous and powdery, and a light grey colour that is reminiscent of the ash used. For its manufacture, this ash is mixed with a bio-plastic that will guarantee its integrity and reinforce its mechanical qualities. When shaped, the material is a viscous, easily malleable paste. This high degree of viscosity allows the material to take a good impression and to be used in moulding processes. I have chosen to use this material in extrusion moulding processes. These processes allow me to highlight the movement, by freezing the material, at the moment when it is deposited in the mould in a random manner, when the material leaves the die.
